BluTV team was managing their original linear channels in the cloud using stitching technology. However, the team needed a more sophisticated tool to manage their original linear channels. They were looking for an easy-to-use SaaS linear TV channel management platform that would support graphics, subtitles and allow for easy creation and scheduling of new channels given BluTV’s future expansion plans. After rigorous testing of the Veset platform, BluTV has moved its Action and Comedy channels to Veset Nimbus with RTMP output feeds being delivered to BluTV’s OTT platform and to various smart TV apps including AppleTV, Samsung, AndroidTV, LG Smart TV etc. BluTV is a heavy user of AWS cloud technology and it was important for BluTV to retain full control of its AWS technology usage. Unique architecture of Veset’s platforms allowed us to deploy client side infrastructure of BluTV’s linear channels in the customer’s AWS account enabling BluTV to be in control of all the resources and commercial agreements with AWS.
BluTV is Turkey’s first and largest local subscription video-on-demand service which is globally available to all Turkish and Arabic speaking audiences. Since its start in 2016, BluTV has demonstrated a strong growth thanks to its focus on original content and technology, combined with over 10k hours of leading local and international series and movies. The company fosters the local TV series and cinema industry by streaming domestic contents locally and internationally and therefore contributes to the popularity of the Turkish production industry and to the global rise of OTT. BluTV not only offers a wide range of local and international TV series, movies, shorts and documentaries, but also provides live TV channels. The contents on the platform can be watched anytime and anywhere without commercials by using smartphones, laptops and smart TV applications with internet connection.
