Gospel TV was looking to move away from the outdated hardware-based playout solution and replace it with a modern flexible and light playout solution. Gospel TV channel combines both live content from the studio in Iceland and pre-recorded content. In 2017 Gospel TV started using Veset Nimbus for origination of its Iceland focused content which it is then delivered to local Icelandic broadcast infrastructure.
Gospel TV channel was founded in 1992 in Iceland. 80% of the population in Iceland can receive the channel through terrestrial transmitters, cable systems and IPTV. The channel is reaching over 13 million subscribers, Gospel on SKY in Great Britain and Ireland, and Canal Digital in Norway. It is also on the Thor V satellite dedicated to Scandinavia and the Astra 2G satellite which reaches the rest of Europe.
