Tarima was looking for a flexible self-service linear channel origination solution that runs on AWS and does not require any upfront investment into hardware and/or traditional broadcast engineering support. Tarima wanted a professional tool because it was looking to deliver its channel to multiple distribution platforms, such as US cable networks and OTT in Latin American. They needed a playout platform that is capable of delivering high quality channel to both traditional and OTT distribution, creating multiple encoding profiles in a cost efficient manner. In a broader channel management workflow, Tarima integrated Nimbus with an external cloud based traffic / scheduling system via API and is using AWS MediaConnect and Amazon CloudFront for transport.
Tarima is the first latin concert channel in the US with a focus on bringing the concert experience into the hands of the Hispanic population in the United States. It is the only 24-hour Spanish language concert channel gathering the best in the different latin genres and currently reaching over 3.5 million households across the US.
