The Webedia team needed a new solution to manage and operate LeStream gaming channel. Webedia was looking for an easy-to-use SaaS linear TV channel management system that would have advanced live event support (including multiple live event switching inputs) and work with Twitch, including the ability to connect to Twitch via API in order to manage commercial breaks and EPG information. It was replacing an existing solution that was built in-house but was no longer supported. Webedia needed a platform that it could setup and use within a tight timeframe.
Webedia had specific requirements for the Twitch workflow. Veset’s development team implemented API-based integration with Twitch to enable commercial ad-breaks management and EPG.
Within a few weeks, the Webedia team moved the LeStream Twitch channel to the Veset Nimbus platform with a fully cloud-based architecture running on Amazon Web Services. The channel has multiple live RTMP inputs, which is important as around 80% of the channel content is live.
